Read & Share Everywhere

The GTxcel™ Solution includes digital editions of magazines as well as digital catalogs, digital brochures, and marketing materials, such as whitepapers or e-books.

Non-Flash technology displays the digital edition beautifully in the browser without the need for plug-ins or Flash. This lets the publisher deliver content that can be viewed on any modern, web-enabled device, such as a desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone.

Let's get publishing. Contact us for samples or more information.

Features at Work

Integrate the digital edition with other media channels to increase reach. iFrame the digital edition on a website, feature it in newsletters, deploy new issues to subscribers via email, or share through social media networks. Open up the publication to search engines for referral traffic. Add back issues to extend shelf life. You can also add audio, video, slideshows, and rich media to bring pages to life. Readers can search across issues and save their favorite pages.

The digital edition supports banner advertising in its web reader interface that can be updated when new issues are published or through an ad server. Other interactive features, such as blow-ins, videos, or surveys, can be used to deliver advertiser messages or to turn the publication into a survey mechanism. The digital edition can even be “split” and sent to targeted lists with its own messaging inside.

Subscriber Management

Digital editions can be free to view and open access, subscriber-managed, or made available to members-only. The digital edition can be sent to a specific opt-in list with access validated via a unique URL, which works well for controlled access titles, such as alumni or association magazines. Additionally, subscriber management features like “look inside” make it possible for publishers to protect content while sampling.

Email Services

Email services are available to notify readers of new issues and to give the reader one-click access to the publisher's digital edition. The email team at GTxcel prepares and sends the email on the publisher's behalf. Accessing the digital edition is seamless as subscriber-managed titles utilize unique URLs that validate the user behind the scenes.

Publishers can track readership down to the subscriber level, such as pages viewed, ads clicked, or videos watched by a certain person for subscriber-managed titles. For lead generation or editorial insight, turn on “Reader Behavior Tracking” to measure who interacted with the publication and in what ways.

GTxcel email services include sample email templates, benchmarking figures, CAN-SPAM compliance, and direct access to reporting. Additionally, GTxcel™ works closely with the audit bureaus to send access reports that save publishers time and money.

What They Are Saying

“We know the 55+ audience is one of the fastest growing segments using mobile devices, and our new apps will allow them to carry the best of AARP with them, no matter how far they travel from their computer. Our audience is active well into 50+ years and beyond, and AARP believes it’s important for them to have access to content that’s relevant to their community of peers, wherever they go.
Sami Hassanyeh, Senior Vice President, AARP Digital Strategy & Operations

“Embracing a mobile platform shows our audience and advertisers that we are paying attention to their needs. It’s critical that we be at the forefront of innovation and smart business practices. I’ve always felt that a responsible publisher has to adapt to the market and generate quality content across as many channels as possible. Now we have basically set the stage for the next generation of entrepreneurs.
Mark Tavarozzi, VP of Consumer Marketing, Entrepreneur Media, Inc.

“Dave Campbell’s Texas Football is a 51 year-old print brand that publishes twice a year. The demand is there to have a strong digital offering. So when it’s very clear where you can find new revenue and reach untapped readers, you have to jump on board. For us, we couldn’t do it fast enough. Having a mobile app is critical. Our books are collectible, so having a green, updatable solution adds significant value. For us, this has been a good experience. The app store sales have paid for the app. First generation is 120th of what we will expand to.
Adam Hochfelder, General Manager, Texas Football

Peloton Puts New Spin on Video Use, Self-Promotion in Digital/App Editions

The quality of their video is so fine that readers can hear the soft crunch of tires on French cobblestone as elite cyclists tour the countryside. In a fully layered sound track, church bells peal in the distance, and interviews with athletes and manufacturers are as compelling as in any documentary.
