Implementation

Digital publishing solutions are supported by a team of professional project managers that assist with strategy, design, and production. Account managers are also on board to share best practices and examples.

Launching a Website

Website implementation includes web strategy and architecture, migration and transition, hosting and support. The implementation team works with the publisher on layout, functionality, style, and design with tips for maximizing SEO and branding opportunities. The website is created on a staging site before going live so the publisher’s team can see how the site comes together. Publishers are trained on the Rivista™ CMS with their own content.

As part of a Rivista™ website implementation, GTxcel™ offers creative professional services to create a powerful and unique look for the website. The templates and CSS files that control the look and feel of the site are available so the publisher’s creative and development teams can change the layout, colors, fonts, and other design elements as often as desired. The website can integrate with an ad server or other third party systems.

The GTxcel™ team is always available for additional consulting services to enhance or redesign the website in the future.

From planning the structure and design of the website, to the integration of advertising and monetization strategies, the implementation team helps to create a seamless and stress-free transition to your new and powerful online presence.

Going Digital

Digital editions can be created from print-ready PDF files or setup as digital-only publications. The publisher works with a Project Manager to secure a domain for hosting the digital edition, and then to submit files, determine access control, set up e-commerce (if applicable), and manage the creation of new digital issues. Publishers are given access to the GTxcel™ Publisher Dashboard to upload files, check job status, and to place rich media and any custom links.

Since the digital edition is browser-based, it can be iFramed on a website, sent to subscribers via email, added to a Facebook tab, and so much more. The publisher's team can discuss their goals with GTxcel™ to make the project a success.

Project Managers assist with feature requests, new issue email delivery, audit bureau requirements, and can help with any questions related to production. Account Managers will assist you with coming up to speed on all the best practices from reporting, email notification, and monetization opportunities.

Publishing to the App Stores

GTxcel™ has extensive experience helping publishers create native apps for iTunes, Apple Newsstand, Google Play, and the Amazon App Store.

The publisher’s team works closely with the Project Manager on app setup and production. The publisher procures a developer license for each store and determines the best access option for their app – such as free and open access, advertising-supported, or e-commerce enabled to charge access to the app. The app’s monetization strategy can be changed over time.

The publisher produces elements to build the app, including an app icon, description for the app stores, launch images, and RSS feeds. The GTxcel™ App Production Team takes it from there to build the app and secure approval from Apple, Google, and Amazon to make the app live in the app stores. New issues can be added to the app as digital editions go live.

Advertising can be added or controlled by an ad server where applicable. The App Production Team and Account Manager will help you take advantage of these features.
