Peter’s vision for GTxcel is to build a unified publishing platform where content can be created once and published everywhere, giving publishers greater control of their content and delivery. Thousands of titles utilize the GTxcel℠ Solution for publishing digital editions, mobile apps, and responsive websites.
Peter has a solid track record in business success. He joined Godengo in 2008 as President and CEO, turning it into the largest provider of content management systems for magazines. Previously he was Chief Operating/Revenue Officer for Internet Broadcasting (IB), a company that creates and monetizes websites for television stations, and before that, EVP of Norstan, a Minneapolis-based telecommunications company where he oversaw U.S. and Canadian operations.
Peter earned his Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University. He and his wife live in Mendon, MA.
Chief Financial Officer
Robert Epping has over 30 years of experience leading the finance, administration, and operations of companies within marketing, software, and technology industries. He joins GTxcel from Asset Marketing Services where he was the EVP/Chief Financial Officer for 12 years helping to grow revenues from under $20 million to over $250 million. Robert also served as CFO of Marketing Bridge a SaaS provider of promotional and marketing media, VP Corporate Controller of Norstan Communications a Minneapolis-based telecommunications company, and Group Controller of Carlson Marketing Group a loyalty and incentive marketing subsidiary of Carlson Companies. Robert earned his bachelors from Marquette University in Milwaukee.
Ted Stine joins GTxcel from Time Warner Cable where he was VP Sales Operations for the Midwest Region and previously, VP of Commercial Services. Ted’s expertise in strategy, sales, and operations positions him ideally to grow this strategically important part of the GTxcel business. Ted also brings with him a strong knowledge of technology, telecommunications and systems integration from his role as VP of East Markets for Norstan. Ted holds a business degree from Indiana University Bloomington.
Sr. Director of Engineering
Mohammad Salih leads the Engineering team at GTxcel, and brings more than 18 years of experience in software development. In his seven years with GTxcel, Mohammad worked with others on creating an open and collaborative culture in Engineering that promotes teamwork and encourages innovation. Prior to GTxcel, he worked on building innovative software for the hotel industry and transportation logistics.
Sr. Director of Digital Services
JoAnn worked in the field of customer service for over 10 years and have over 20 years of management experience. JoAnn joined the GTxcel team in May 2011. She is a proactive manager that leads by example. As the Senior Director of Digital Services she has successfully built a cohesive team that has grown in productivity and efficiency. During last year, the customer support team have maintained a 98% customer SAT rating and is on point to improve upon that this year. JoAnn’s previous experience includes management in the manufacturing industry as well as serving as a Director and Regional Director in Child Care. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Central CT State University. She values collaboration, creative thinking and is a true customer advocate.
Sr. Director of CMS Operations
Jessica Callery leads the CMS Operations teams including support, implementations and project management. She has 17 years experience in CMS Operations for broadcasters and publishers. She previously led the Project Management and BA teams for Internet Broadcasting (IB), working with both custom solutions for TV Broadcast customers and the CMS product development team. She has trained with Dev Jam on agile and persona driven development practices and has held a variety of leadership roles for both small and large projects.
Director of Sales
Jim has been in the media industry for 15+ years with a primary focus on digital advertising, sales, and account management leadership roles at companies such as; CBS Radio, AOL, and the New York Times Company.
As the Director of Sales at GTxcel, Jim combines his knowledge of engagement trends, marketing, advertising, technology, and SaaS business models to help our clients achieve success in the realm of content creation, monetization, and distribution. Jim is continuously listening to our customer’s needs and identifying solutions within the GTxcel portfolio that help elevate client success.
Jim earned his B.S. in Marketing & Business at Central Connecticut State University.
Outside of his career, Jim enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, snowboarding, watching/attending Boston sports, and going to the beach.
Chairman of the Board
Reid Johnson’s media career began in the early 1970’s. At WCCO-Television, the CBS affiliate in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Reid served as a writer, producer, and executive producer. In 1981, he was named News Director, a position he held until 1989. During Reid’s tenure the station’s news department won every major award for broadcast journalism, including twice winning the Edward R. Murrow award as top news department in the country.
In 1989, Reid purchased Alpha Video, an audio/video equipment dealership. Reid and his partner George Johnson (no relation), repositioned the company to become the leading digital dealership in the Upper Midwest. With the advent of the world wide web in the mid 1990’s, Reid formed a division of Alpha Video, Internet Broadcasting (IB), that developed a CMS and suite of services that allowed television stations to “put themselves on the web.”
IB was incorporated in 1997. As Founder and CEO of IB, Reid grew IB into the largest network of television station sites in the U.S. Investors and station partners included Hearst, Washington Post, McGraw Hill, CNN, Meredith, Cox, and NBC. Reid retired in 2008.
